Well December has started of better than last month with a few waves around, and hopefully that continues for Xmas. Its been a quite month for the club with comps, although two of our surfers Reef Hazelnut Jnr and Laura Ponz are still down at the Aussie titles at Kiama competing, Reef made quarters and Laura is into the semis, Go guys.
We have our final comp for the year this Sunday 8th, It will be double points so everyone has a chance of making up some lost ground. there will be a Xmas break-up after the comp and Santa will be arriving as well, (hope all you little grommets have been GOOD.) that includes you too Cale.
On a another matter that I forgot to report,
Our resident jiu-jitsu master Gus (tie you in a knot) Toledo won the masters final in August throwing buckets with some powerful rail surfing Well done mate, I promised Gus to put that result in months ago, its amazing what a good headlock makes you remember!
Also on a sadder note, there will be a paddle out this Sunday 8th at Yaroomba for Chris Boyd at 10am, Chris”s dad Charlie was a former member of Windansea and having known Chris personally it would be good to see some members attend and support the family and Coolum Boardriders.
There is a Sons of Beaches display on at the Art Gallery in town running from 6th Dec to the 2nd Feb, with all sorts of surfing history to see. Get down and have a look it should be good.
Anyway see you all at the beach this weekend, meet at Ann St 6.30am for a 7.00am start and Merry Xmas to all club members.
