With the weather finally starting to heat up its probs a good time to send out a bit of info for everyone.
A few weeks ago was the School titles held over at Straddie, Anna Toohey showed what a talent she is by winning u/16 div we also had Tom Prout u/19 MR Shield andWill Carter u/16 MR Shield winners. Well done teamsters.
Last week we had the Aussie Titles on at Coffs Harbour, Reef Heazlewood made the semis of the open div and was unlucky not to progress with the waves just not coming reefs way. I know that because we watched his heat. Bad luck mate.
Dave Reardon Smith took out the 0/40 div, Clive Sinton made semis o/50s and yours truly made a couple of finals. Congrats to all members.
With the longboard div kicking off after the Surfmasters we also had Aidan Feely make semis in the junior div with Aidan showing heaps of style and progressive manouvers.
This weekend is the QLD Junior titles on at Coolum so good luck to all members competing.
The Kirra teams event will be on in Sept 17th so we have selected a squad surfers and a team will be picked from that in the next few weeks. Accomodation has been organised, good luck guys.
The Windansea Community Surf Facility building at Anns is still on track and we will bring everyone up to date at our next club meeting.
Don’t forget EVERYONE. The Sept monthly meeting will be our annual AGM so please all make an effort to come along and elect a new committee for 2016/17
