Bec Miller, a local resident of Currimundi and member of Windansea, who recently lost her twin boys to Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) at 23 weeks gestation is holding a fundraiser at Currimundi Lake tomorrow.
Twin to twin Transfusion Syndrome is a common occurrence but not common knowledge.
Sunday 7th December is TTTS World Awareness Day and in memory of her babies, there will be a BBQ/Sausage Sizzle at Currimundi Lake at 10am. We will also be releasing bubbles at this event.
Bec’s family is holding a fundraising raffle with all funds raised going directly to UQCCR (University of Qld for clinical research). Their research is focused on improving health outcomes for disorders of pregnancy, fetal growth restriction, stillbirth and brain injury.
If anyone would be willing to donate items towards the raffle or event please contact Bec Miller on 0401 187 077.
At the same time Windansea will be running the last club round of the year. Meet 6:30 am at Currimundi Lake. After the comp we will have our Christmas Party with Santa at club house.
