This late 70,s photo taken by Geoff Lawrence(RIP) was taken when we went up to the PA Bendall contest on the sunshine coast in the late 70,s. Absolute classic contest setup with the old tent. Early Member Shapers – The Reid Brothers

In 1973 Windansea members Steve and Wayne Reid started Freefluid Surfboards. The famous logo was drawn by another club member Laurie Jarman.

Early Member Shapers – KKK

Kingsley “Knackers” Kernouske came from California and shaped boards far and wide under the infamous KKK label. He shaped at Freefluid and was shaping in the Rip Curl Factory in 74/75, Lightning Bolt Australia and in later years was one of the founders of Beach Beat.
