Surfing Australia’s / Surfing Queensland’s / WindanSea Boardriders  Sport Integrity Framework:

To provide surfing at all levels with guidance in the integrity space, Sport Integrity Australia has developed a suite of 5 policies under the National Integrity Framework. Click on the Policy below for further information:

  1. Member Protection Policy
  2. Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy
  3. Competition Manipulation & Sport Gambling Policy
  4. Improper Use of Drugs & Medicine Policy
  5. Complaints, Disputes & Discipline Policy

Each policy covers Definitions, Jurisdiction, Prohibited Conduct and Obligations. The items Prohibited Conduct and Obligations are important as they detail the behaviours and expectations placed on participants and organisations. All our members and participants have an obligation to protect and maintain the integrity of surfing, as well as the health and wellbeing of our athletes. This framework has been implemented to ensure a safe and fun environment for everyone involved in surfing, from learning to surf all the way through to our Olympians and everyone in between. The Framework offers the WindanSea Boardriders Club a streamlined approach to tackling integrity threats and clear, independent processes for managing potential breaches of integrity policies.

From these Policies, the pathways to appropriate behaviour expected from all members is located within this link https://www.sportintegrity.gov.au/sites/default/files/SIA225-0823-3-NIF%20Prohibited%20Conduct-A-7%20%5BDIGITAL%5D.pdf
